Soda PDF

The great thing about Soda PDF is that it is a modular PDF software. The application comes with a module to view PDF documents, a module to create PDF documents, a module to convert PDF documents, and so on. What’s great about that? Well, the fact that you can pay just for the modules you need. If you don’t need PDF conversion capabilities, you don’t have to get the convert module. You can get just the modules you need!

A setup wizard will help you install Soda PDF in your preferred language. English, French, Spanish, and other languages are supported.
On the setup wizard’s interface there’s an Advanced Options button. Click it and you will get to pick and choose what components will be installed.

Said components are grouped into two categories:
Soda PDF Main Application – core files, view module, preview plugins (internet browsers integration, Windows integration), Asian and extended font package.
Soda PDF Modules: create module (core, Microsoft Office integration, internet browsers integration, Windows shell integration), convert module, insert module, review module, forms module, secure and sign module, OCR module.

Please note that the Soda PDF setup wizard will ask to install the Ad-Aware Security Toolbar on Internet Explorer or Firefox.
It is also worth noting that if you sign up with Soda PDF you will receive a free activation key to unlock the Create module.

Soda PDF has a user friendly, easy to navigate ribbon interface. But before you can access the ribbon interface, you are presented with a “Getting Started with Soda PDF” prompt. I advise you to click through this getting started guide because it quickly presents the modules.
View module – open and view PDF files.
Create module – create new PDF documents for hundreds of file formats, batch create multiple PDFs at once.
Convert module – convert PDF to DOC, XLS, TCT, JPG, and other formats.
Edit module – load a PDF document and edit it (delete pages, edit text, paste images, and more).
Insert module – insert new pages, add page numbers, add links, and more.
Review module – highlight text, underline text, insert stamps, insert comments, and more.
Forms module – create custom PDF form documents, invoices, and surveys.
Secure and Sign module – password protect documents, sign documents.
OCR Module – user OCR technology to turn PDF documents, images, or scans into editable files.

If you need all these modules, you can get them all. But if you need but a few, you can get just the modules you want. That’s the great thing about Soda PDF: it is a modular PDF solution that allows you to customize the functionality you get. If you only need to view, create and convert PDF documents, then you only need the View, Create, and Convert modules.
